Kampos is a nice area full of older mansions, many restored for use as bed and breakfast. The mansions typically have high walls, and extensive gardens inside the courtyards, full of trees and flowers. It is generally a quiet area, very quaint, and close to major roads leading south, north, and west, not far from the capital city and the airport. We ate at a variety of establishments, both in the nearby village and on the coast. All had fresh seafood and local dishes and the prices were very reasonable. We didn't find a place anywhere that could be considered a "tourist trap."VerlinUnited States of America

He personally pinned the locations-to-visit on the map he gave me. He is also a fan of Queen (the band), like me :). The building is a restoration of an old Genovan estate using the same materials, so it is beautiful. The room I stayed was large and comfy. The hotel is located in a traditional and historic nice house, with few rooms, surrounded by citrus trees in a charming garden. Peaceful, definitely “green” Beautiful and spacious family room. Warm welcoming by the owners. Nice breakfast with a variety of local products.
